Okay, so I’m a little bit longer in the tooth than a lot of my social media peers. Just because I was born in the wrong generation doesn’t mean you should shun me.
A little bit about me, my name is David A. Stewart, and I currently live in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I have been lucky enough to be married to my High School Sweetheart, Karen, since 1986, which means we will celebrate our silver anniversary this year. Karen, if you’re reading this, I get credit for remembering. I have two beautiful and individual daughters, and one perfect little grandson. I imagine he will be the starting QB for Ohio State in about 16 ½ years, did I mention I’m a thru and thru Buckeye!
My passion in life other than my family is American made automobiles. There is not finer sound to be heard than the deep rumbling sound of an American muscle car rounding the corner. I was lucky enough to work for a time in the auto industry, God Bless the UAW. Since my early retirement from the auto industry (thanks Japan), I have been rebuilding from the bottom up some of the finest cars ever produced on American soil. I have done 2 ’68 mustangs and am currently working on a beast of a GTO. I hope to have some pictures scanned in here soon to share with you, still learning the finer points of some of these gadgets.
Although I rebuild and sell cars now for a living, I happen to have developed a great little network of parts for classic cars and am planning on opening up a site to help sell these to other fanatics like myself for whom only the original part will do. Karen will greatly appreciate this, as a few of them tend to find their way out of my workshop and sometimes into the kitchen sink or table. But I remembered our anniversary so it all works out.
